Artem Konstantinov 康雅談

Artem Konstantinov was born in Russia and studied cello at the Glinka School in Novosibirsk and at the Moscow Conservatory of Music. He also holds a Doctorate of Music Degree from the Guildhall School of Music in London. He has studied and collaborated with many great musicians and cellists including Mstislav Rostropovich, Natalia Shakhovskaya, Kiril Rodin, Alexander Rudin, Stefan Popov, Alexander Kniazev, Lev Evgrafov and Marina Tarasova. He has won numerous prizes including first prize in the Competition for Young Cellists in 1983 (Russia), first prize in the International Competition of Young Ensemble of Art in 1988 (Moscow), prize-winner in the Competition of Chamber Music in Palma d'Oro in 1995 (Italy) and first prize in the Russian National Cello Competition in 1997. In 2001 he received an honorary award from the Russian Department of Culture. Artem Konstantinov has appeared as soloist with orchestras in Europe and Russia, and with the major orchestras in Asia. From 1999 to 2005 he served as principal cellist of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed as guest principal cellist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Artem Konstantinov joined the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong as principal cellist in 2005. He is also a recording artist for HUGO and has released more than seven CDs under this label.

康雅談博士 (Dr Artem Konstantinov) 是一位極具成就的音樂家,以其卓越的大提琴演奏、大提琴教授、指揮家以及才華橫溢的作曲家身份而聞名。他曾就讀於莫斯科國立音樂學院,並於倫敦市政廳音樂及戲劇學院取得博士學位。

康雅談博士曾任香港城市室樂團首席大提琴手,以及香港管弦樂團的客席首席大提琴手。此外亦曾於深圳愛樂樂團擔任首席大提琴手以及深圳藝術學校的教授,期間他開創了多個新課程,如室內樂、四重奏及管弦樂課程。
