Cy Leo: Two Worlds In One Cy Leo 何卓彥: 兩界一心

"Two Worlds In One", initiated by Cy Leo, reimagines the harmonica's possibilities through original harmonica and vocal works—exploring how the instrument can speak Buently across jazz, pop, and world music. The project invites audiences to encounter the harmonica in a fresh context, bringing its voice into a wider and more diverse musical world.

The project unfolds through an album production and an Asia tour, led by Cy Leo as composer/lyricist/editor and artistic director. and during the tour it will collaborate with professional harmonica ensembles from dieerent regions. At the same time, representatives from harmonica communities around the world will be invited to join selected performances. Through this shared stage, the program connects harmonica enthusiasts across Asia and helps the harmonica tradition continue to grow from city to city.

Each composition will be released in two versions: a harmonica instrumental version and a vocal version. The vocal versions feature pop and jazz singers from Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and the United States, oeering a welcoming entry point for listeners who love vocal music—guiding them into the niche world of harmonica-centered sound.

Concert in Hong Kong is anchored by Cy Leo's jazz quintet, including Hong Kong pianist Daniel Chu, guitarist Teriver Cheung and two Korean musicians on drums and bass, Jongkuk Kim and Jaeshin Park. Two new-generation Hong Kong singers, Ashley Lin and Walter Kwan, will also perform as guest. In addition, the music team will include string players, harmonica players, and backing vocalists.
